We’re really excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with Leeds University Union to create a first-of-its-kind new programme, challenging conventional approaches to graduate recruitment.

Each year, we’ll be giving two Leeds graduates the opportunity to create, shape and run a not-for-profit digital marketing business; a new ‘micro agency’ which will provide digital marketing services across the Union’s activities and events.

These two Leeds graduates will be employed for the duration of the year to run the agency, with the first intake this year having the added challenge of defining and establishing the business.

The graduates will have the support of the undergraduate base at Leeds University to deliver a range of projects, with the ambition that after each 12-month placement, they will have gained the experience, skills and contacts to acquire permanent digital marketing roles in the city.

The micro agency will also be supported by a board of trustees from both Epiphany and Leeds University Union.

Our Epiphany trustees will provide digital marketing training, drawing on our expertise and strong partnerships with the likes of Google and Microsoft. Leeds University Union will be mentoring the graduates in core business disciplines including human resources, finance and governance.

Home to Epiphany’s headquarters; Leeds has some of the best digital talent in the country, and we hope that this partnership will bring new thinking and fresh ideas into the city’s marketing industry; as well as providing a unique and valuable opportunity for graduates from a range of disciplines to forge a career in digital marketing.

Aidan Grills, Chief Executive of Leeds University Union, said: “Leeds is an entrepreneurial city and a centre for digital marketing excellence, which we are constantly seeing through the demand for talented and innovative graduates.

“We’re confident that the students of the University of Leeds can help cement this reputation, and this partnership has been designed to create a stepping stone into the sector for Leeds’ future digital pioneers.”
