Front of House









Up to £20,000

The Role

We are looking for someone to work Front of House at our Sheffield office. This role would be suited to someone who is friendly, confident and keen to work to a professional standard.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Front of house; meeting and greeting all visitors
  • General admin, assisting the Facilities Manager and wider employee base as required
  • Ownership of visitor hospitality process
  • Answering the entrance intercom
  • Managing the building and company switchboard (and team cover for Leeds/Newbury switchboard for lunch breaks/holidays)
  • Booking car parking for visitors (via ANPR system from Sept21)
  • Ensuring the Reception area and any meeting spaces are kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Book travel for Sheffield-based employees
  • Replenish drinks and refreshments stocks
  • Maintain basic stationery stocks and ensure stationery store is kept tidy
  • Managing incoming mail
  • Managing outgoing mail and maintaining relationships with Royal Mail/postperson for collections as well as courier services
  • Responsibility for the franking machine account (ensuring it is kept topped up and software updates are applied)
  • Management of internal events (risk assessments, running of event to comply with our own guidelines)
  • Maintain close relationship with on-site cleaning team, addressing any issues that arise
  • Maintain Covid-security (temperature checks, ensuring visitor hand sanitising/face mask-wearing etc, sanitise high touch areas at midday every day)
  • Maintain a good working relationship with Facilities operative and other members of Front of House team to provide consistent cover at all sites


Skills Required

  • Must be competent in the use of Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Must be prepared to undertake full first aid training and fire marshal training in order to fulfil the lead role in both disciplines


Additional Information

  • Occasional cover to be provided at The Small Mill, Leeds (sickness), so travel there may be required (expenses paid)
  • First Aid training (to be provided if not already qualified)
  • Fire Marshal training (to be provided if not already qualified)
