The Role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller who has a proven track record in implementing and improving processes within a finance reporting function.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide financial control and accounting services to Jaywing and its subsidiaries
  • Manage our assets and liabilities
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements by maintaining timely accounting, books and records
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting for all subsidiaries and Group PLC
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with statutory reporting requirements, Tax and VAT filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Manage all accounting operations including, Accounts payable, Credit control, Payroll, and Cost Accounting
  • Manage cash flow and ensure continuous working capital improvements
  • Liaise with internal and external relationships including the PLC Board, Banking partners, Auditors, and Insurers
  • Responsibility for International Group management reporting, Consolidation of Budgets, Statutory Reporting and Audits
  • Coordinate and direct the consolidation of International budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Interpret commercial data for utilisation of people resources to improve efficiencies and client profitability
  • Update and maintain all company house filings
  • Opportunity to work on future M&A as identified

Skills Required 

  • Qualified accountant with 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Expert Technical knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and application
  • The ability to deliver in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience leading, motivating, and developing a team of finance professionals.
  • Significant IFRS experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the business.
  • A proven track record of identifying and leading business improvements
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and reporting requirements for listed entities is desirable.
