With the Demand Generation Manager creating an active pipeline of prospects, the BDD will qualify these prospects in or out of the pitch/proposal process and maximise close rate by applying consultative selling techniques. It is expected that the BDD will also generate additional opportunities from their own network by connecting with and nurturing prospects that fit the profile of our target market.
The role spans both business development and account development. For account development, the Business Development Director will work with the Commercial Director, Strategy Director and Group Account Director to identify and develop untapped opportunities within the existing client base. By way of internal referral or proactive corridor sell, the objective will be to maximise Jaywing’s coverage across each client’s influencer/decision-maker network.
The BDD will also assist with client onboarding and assume a support/development role with each new client for the first 12 months. The goal is to provide a seamless experience for the client and identify additional opportunities within their organisation that can be added to the client development roadmap.
Key to this role is the ability to coordinate internal Jaywing stakeholders from across multiple specialist middle-office teams to manage their contributions to pitches and proposals whilst maintaining the shape of the story and delivering against the brief. This will involve coordinating collaboration sessions, managing collaborative working documents and maintaining oversight of the overall direction of the approach to ensure it meets the brief.
