The Role

As a PR Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for clients you manage, overseeing account teams to ensure work is of a high standard and monthly KPIs are met consistently.

You will lead and oversee all campaign development and execution, as well as day-to-day press office and admin tasks, liaising with other internal teams and departments where needed to deliver PR campaigns that excite users, entice journalists and ultimately deliver value for your clients.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supporting your PR Lead by independently managing all activity for a range of clients across retail, finance, education and health sectors to ensure timely delivery of quality work
  • Taking charge of day-to-day client communications alongside your execs, knowing when to escalate if needed
  • Reviewing and approving all work from Account Executives on your accounts before it goes to your PR Lead
  • Developing fun and engaging creative campaign and content ideas that are on brief for your client and pulling these into detailed proposals, with details on costs where needed
  • Keeping an accurate record of progress against monthly and quarterly KPIs on your accounts
  • Supporting on media promotion where needed by providing suggestions on relevant contacts/publications and alternative angles for content, working with our Media Relations Manager
  • Proactively seeking out upsell opportunities and work with your PR Lead to capitalise on these
  • Contributing to wider PR strategies at key meetings including QBRs and annual planning sessions
  • Providing direct line management to at least one Account Executive in the team, hosting quality weekly 121s and delivering impactful development plans


Skills Required

  • An ambitious and driven go-getter, with a nose for great PR ideas
  • Experience managing team members and workloads, as well as clients
  • Strong knowledge of the media landscape and the ability to confidently pitch stories to the media.
  • Able to discuss a broad range of topics relating to PR and Social Media
  • A working knowledge of SEO link building best practices would be ideal
  • Excellent project management skills with strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
