The Role

As a Digital Analytics Consultant at Jaywing you will be part of the Analytics team, working with both Clients and other Jaywing Teams (e.g. PPC, SEO, UX/CRO, Studio) to scope, plan, and implement website tracking, reporting and analysis solutions.

In your day-to-day, you will be expected to use Google Analytics (UA & GA4), Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, and write JavaScript to facilitate accurate data collection and the utilisation of data.


Key Accountabilities

  • Scoping, quoting, planning and implementation of website tracking via platforms such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Scoping, quoting, planning and implementation of reports/dashboards via platforms such as Google Data Studio, and Google Sheets
  • Auditing Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager implementations, producing a document of found issues and proposing approaches for issue resolution
  • Writing JavaScript to facilitate advanced tracking that in-built features of Google Tag Manager cannot provide
  • Ad hoc support for Jaywing Clients and internal Jaywing Teams (e.g. PPC, SEO, Paid Social, CRO) on tracking and analysis (e.g. pixel implementation, reviewing data accuracy, problem-solving)
  • Analysing and exploring business data with tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, SQL to produce insight


Skills Required

  • Proficient with Google Products: Analytics, Tag Manager and Data Studio
  • Proficient with Microsoft Products: Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with JavaScript running in a website environment, knowing how to extract information from the DOM (document object model) with a good standard of code quality
  • Being able to confidently communicate with Clients and Internal teams
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role at an Agency or In-House

Ideal not essential:

  • Google Analytics Individual Qualification
  • Experience in other tracking platforms (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Snowplow, Matomo)
  • Experience in other reporting / dashboarding platforms (e.g. Power Bi, Tableau, NinjaCat, Klipfolio)
  • Other programming language experience (e.g. Python, R, PHP, Node, SQL) is beneficial but not essential
  • A marketing background would be beneficial, but not required
