fraud prevention

fraud prevention

The criminal act of committing fraud is not about to go away. What ever defences we put up, fraudsters have a habit of finding a way around. So whilst initiatives such as chip and pin have reduced fraud committed in shops, rises have been reported in online fraud, from online banking and online retailers.

foil

Foil is Jaywing's fraud prevention service and covers four distinct areas.

  • credit application fraud
  • avoiding marketing to potential fraudsters
  • keeping goods and banking products safe when mailing
  • identifying fraud in bad debt

Alongside Jaywing products we also provide consultancy on the best tools and processes to use. We make sure our advice is in your interests so of the many tools out there we're likely to advise you to use most of them. The question is how to do it efficiently.

foil apply

Foil Apply provides you with bespoke fraud prevention models built from a large pool of known fraud data from a number of lenders. We build you great models using our analytical expertise and a much larger data set from the pool.

Current pools: current account, credit cards, unsecured personal loans, asset finance.

foil promote

Foil Promote is a great way to avoid fraud from early in your processes. Use it to screen marketing data and remove potential fraudsters before sending out marketing materials.

foil deliver

Foil Deliver is a combination of process change and a licensed data look up that avoids sending desirable goods and banking products, such as cards and cheque books, to potential fraudsters.

foil collect

Use Foil Collect to identify potential fraud in bad debt and avoid wasting precious resource on debt you are highly unlikely to recover.

credit abuse models

Credit Abuse is a term we use to describe 1st Party Fraud - never paids, early defaults - it isn't usually identified with traditional fraud tools.  Using our bespoke credit abuse models means either avoiding lending altogether to high risk groups or tailoring terms to those who may have been economical with the truth.
